Zenith slashes Pentium IV prices

NEW DELHI: Zenith Computers Ltd., an Indian company in the Home PC segment

and the second largest manufacturer in the country it has announced the

availability of its Zenith P4 PCs at Rs 49,000.

The Zenith Pentium 4 has the following configuration - Intel Pentium IV 1.4

GHz processor, 128 MB RD RAM, Intel 850 Chipset, AGP 8 MB, 1.44 MB FDD, 20 GB

ATA 100 HDD, special Internet keyboard, 38 cm (15) SVGA Digital color monitor

(Philips). In addition to this, the Zenith Machine would also contain a Logitech

(scroll) mouse and a 52 X Multimedia Kit with stereo speakers. A headphone along

with a microphone will also be bundled with the machine.

According to Raj Saraf, CMD, Zenith Computers Ltd., "Our main aim is to

offer the latest PC technology to the general masses at an affordable price. In

fact, prices of the Zenith Pentium IV are lower than even the unbranded PCs of

similar configuration. We have always been leaders as far as major technology

and price changes are concerned. This offer is in keeping with our strategy and

commitment toward making PCs more accessible to the masses."

The Zenith PentiumIII 1GHz processor with 64 MB SD RAM is now available at Rs

35,200. The Zenith Pentium 3 866 MHz processor with 64 MB SD RAM is available at

Rs 32,500. Zenith Pentium 3 733 MHz processor with 64 MB SD RAM is available at

Rs 29,500.
