Zenasis gets fund from WestBridge Capital

BANGALORE: Zenasis Technologies Inc., has announced a final close of its

Series B round of funding. The second round of investment has been brought in by

WestBridge Capital Partners. This brings the total amount raised by Zenasis

since its inception in 2002 to $10 million.






Zenasis is US-based Electronic Design Automation (EDA) company delivering
next-generation Integrated Circuit (IC) optimization software. The funds will be

used as working capital to expand Zenasis' Research and Development (R&D)

efforts.






WestBridge Capital Partners, Managing Director, Raj Dugar, said: "Zenasis
is taking IC design optimization to a new level by bringing transistor-level,

custom optimization into automated cell-based flow. We believe Zenasis will play

a vital role in creating the highest performance or the most power-efficient

ASICs and ASSPs." WestBridge Capital Partners focuses on venture capital

investments in India-US cross border technology companies.






"We are delighted to have WestBridge Capital Partners as one of Zenasis'
investors," said, Zenasis, president and chief executive officer, Jay Roy.

"WestBridge Capital Partners will provide us an extensive network of

industry contacts in the United States and abroad, especially in India."






The second round funding in Zenasis was led by Sigma Partners in March 2002,
followed by Venture Tech Alliance, TSMC affiliated venture fund and Selby

Ventures.
