YouTube comes back to Amazon Echo Show

YouTube has finally come back to Amazon's Echo Show after an absence of nearly two months, according to a report from VoiceBot.ai. Google had apparently pulled the video streaming service over the violations of its terms and services.

At that time, Google had claimed that the device created a "broken user experience". So, the tech giant has made some changes and brought YouTube back to the Amazon Echo Show.

Notably, the YouTube user interface on the Echo Show has changed a bit now. Instead of discrete pieces of content against a black background, you'll see the same YouTube website interface you're probably familiar with from desktop PCs.

Some users reported that the videos no longer expand to full screen, but users need to use a separate “Alexa, zoom in” command to display videos like that. VoiceBot.ai has posted a video of the updated UI.

Additionally, Amazon Echo Show now also offers Vimeo and Dailymotion video access, the company notes. A spokesperson provided the following statement: "We’re excited to offer customers the capability to watch even more video content from sources such as Vimeo, YouTube, and Dailymotion on Echo Show. More video sources will be added over time."
