YouTube has finally announced its long-anticipated live-TV streaming subscription service, which has been christened as "YouTube TV".

During an event in San Francisco, the company announced the live-streaming services and also previewed YouTube TV which would "showcase a new way to experience the TV content you love," as per YouTube.

YouTube TV will offer live television content from more than 40 TV networks including ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC, along with 35 cable channels, for a monthly fee of $35. YouTube is basically offering a family pack for $35, which will cover six accounts, enabling each member with a personalised account and tailored recommendations.

YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki said, "Younger generations want to consume TV the way that they’re used to watching TV online, live and on-demand."

As per YouTube, subscribers will also get separate cloud-based DVRs with unlimited storage. YouTube TV’s DVR service can record simultaneous recordings and also read your TV habits to come up with the best content for you.

YouTube Red, which allows subscribers to stream original programming for $9.99 per month, will be available for YouTube TV subscribers also. So now, instead of purchasing YouTube Red, subscribers can simply choose the YouTube TV subscription and get access to all the original content of YouTube Red.

However, if you want to avoid the ads on the service, then you will have to subscribe to Red.

The latest feature brings no good news for NFL fans as they can only watch the games on desktop or TV, but not on mobile because of Verizon's deal with the NFL.

Boosting the search feature on the TV app, users can now search by themes to find shows and movies. Users can also cast the content from their phone to Chromecast.

Currently, the services have been launched for Android, iOS or the web users in areas like L.A., New York, and Philadelphia. According to the Engadget report, the feature will be rolled out only in US because it can offer live broadcast feed to the viewers.
