You Telecom deploys intelligent broadband services

MUMBAI: Citigroup-owned YOU Telecom India Private Limited, the ISO 9000:2001 accredited Broadband Service Provider, has announced that it has entered into a technology deployment agreement with global wireless communications major Motorola Inc., and Canada-based Sandvine Incorporated, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sandvine Corporation.

In its endeavour to enhance subscribers' online experience, YOU Telecom will deploy intelligent broadband solutions from the Motorola/Sandvine team. The technology will enable YOU Telecom visibility into its network traffic in order to offer high-quality Internet services to over 150,000 subscribers.

Motorola, a long-term technology provider to YOU Telecom, will complement Sandvine efforts by offering sales and first-level support.

Speaking on the development, E V S Chakravarthy, CEO, YOU Telecom said, "We are always looking for innovative means that will enhance customers' broadband experience. The growing appetite for broadband in India puts pressure on service providers to offer innovative IP multimedia applications to the growing customer base.
