BANGALORE: Xerox Modicorp, joint venture of US-based Xerox and Modi Corporation has launched five network laser printers for the Indian market.

According to the company, the new DocuPrint N series has the speed of 20 to 40 pages per minute and resolution ranging from 600 x 600 to 1200 x 1200 DPI. The DocuPrint printers also provide previously unavailable paper handling capabilities for small to medium workgroups. In addition, the N series range shares a new controller, enabling advanced networking and productivity features through Xerox WorkSet technology—offering customers fast multi-set printing and convenience features that boost workgroup connectivity. The printers have features like M@iLinx, which allows to print directly to the printer via e-mail and e-mail alerts, Secure Print, which allows to print confidential documents even if the printer is shared. It will not print the document until entering password.

On the occasion, HN Nanani, Managing Director, Xerox Modicorp, said, "Customers increasingly demand competitively priced printers that can do more at faster speeds at affordable prices. We believe our customers should be able to demand more from printing and get more from Xerox. Different customers have different printing needs our N series is customized to fit individual requirements of anyone from a small office workgroup to large departments. We are confident that the new printing solutions from Xerox Modicorp will firmly enhance our market presence in the printer segment."

The N series range includes the N2025, N2125, N2825, N3225 and N4025. These are priced at Rs 1.35 lakh, Rs 94,000, Rs 1.55 lakh, Rs 1.75lakh and Rs 2.25 lakh respectively.
