The Silicon Valley event is produced by the AT&T Developer Program in coordination with Women in Technology International.

The AT&T Mobile App Hackathon, which will take place in Palo Alto, is a three-day event that offers female attendees the opportunity to lead co-ed developer teams in creating new, innovative products.

"Plantronics is an advocate for women in developer roles and Jennifer Davis will provide real-world examples of her experience developing applications that harness the power of contextual intelligence," said Amy Huson, senior director of marketing at Plantronics. "We are thrilled to participate in this groundbreaking event by providing prizes and wearable technology like the Voyager Legend UC."

Plantronics claims it has strong ties to the developer community, having launched the Plantronics Developer Connection (PDC), which provides developers with the tools to bring aspects of a user's physical world into applications, last year.Â
