With focus on public sector Citrix India appoints new biz head

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Cloud solutions provider Citrix today announced that the company has appointment Yatin Kavishwar as the head of government & defense business for India region.

In his new role, Yatin will spearhead Citrix's business and growth initiatives in the government and defence segment customers in the region, said a release.

Prior to this, he was the Business Manager, Public Sector at Cisco Systems.

Sanjay Deshmukh, area vice president, Citrix India, said, "Citrix's can help government entities deliver its services to the citizens and all the stake holders in a centralized and secure manner where they can access any service from any location and any device."

"We believe we can play a key role in helping Indian government successfully and efficiently implement all the e governance initiatives," added Deshmukh.

The release further added that under Yatin's leadership, Citrix will work towards collaborating closely with government agencies and help them successfully implement the various e-governance initiatives including the State, Central and Integrated mission mode projects.

Highlighting on Citrix solutions for government sector, Yatin Kavishwar, Head - Government & Defence Business - India Subcontinent at Citrix said: "In the government segment, it is of utmost importance to deliver and receive digital information and services any time, anywhere and from any device-safely, securely and with fewer resources."

"Our solutions enable government agencies to sharpen the focus of IT resources-efficiently, securely and effectively-to address government's most pressing mission challenges and goals," he added.

With a career spanning over 13 years, Citrix said, Yatin's expertise includes sales and business exposure to segments like enterprise public sector, IT/ITES, retail and distribution, manufacturing and SMB segments.
