Wipro tops IT infrastructure outsourcing: study

BANGALORE, INDIA: Wipro Technologies, a provider in IT services, today announced that it was named a leader in global IT Infrastructure Outsourcing in the recently published market assessment report “The Forrester Wave TM: Global IT Infrastructure Outsourcing, Q1 2009” (March 2009)

Forrester included 15 providers in the report – only the strongest global firms with a track record of success in the infrastructure space were included in this report, said a press release.

The report states that the India-based giant Wipro has amongst the best overall scores based on a sound current offering, good market presence, and an excellent strategy for the infrastructure space.

Wipro scored the highest in the strategy parameter.

According to the Forrester research report, “ Wipro’s aspirations have rightly gone beyond competing against India-based competitors.With broad and growing global capability – including a solid partnership strategy – there is strong evidence of a nonlinear relationship between client geographical distribution and infrastructure staff. ”
