Wipro’s fastest Line Matrix Printer launched

BANGALORE: The peripherals arm of Wipro, Wipro ePeripherals Ltd. (WeP) has

launched Wipro 2000 lpm (lines per minute) Line Matrix Printer (LMP).

According to a official press release, the new product is the fastest LMP

available in the market today, the printer prints at a speed of 2000 lpm in

upper case high-speed mode. Its data processing speed at 1800 lpm is also

claimed to be faster than the draft speeds of any other line matrix printer in

the industry.

"Launched to cater to the fast printing needs of the customers, the

Wipro 2000 lpm not only saves time but also allows customer to cut maintenance

costs by replacing aging band printers without sacrificing quality and

performance," the release stated.

The network connectivity features include Internet/Intranet connectivity with

remote printer management using any web browser with the optional PRINTNET

solution. Other features include automatic ribbon minder, saving wastage of

ribbon and stationary. The printer is also a language capability model for

faster printing in Indian languages, specifically Hindi and Kannada.

The Printer is suited for huge printing volumes and critical high-speed

applications. The job volumes typically in the range of 40-60 thousand pages per

month.
