To be built on the SAP NetWeaver® platform using the Composite Application Framework, Wipro is among the first few global System Integration Companies to launch a composite application factory model.

The "Wipro Composite Factory Model (W-CAF)" will provide customers with the option of building and implementing composite applications on the SAP NetWeaver platform leveraging the Composite Application Framework. W-CAF will help the Corporate IT of any organization to serve its business users better by providing solutions customized to its business needs at a significantly lower cost of ownership by adopting an Enterprise services-oriented architecture (Enterprise SOA).

Having recently completed "iPRO - the e-procurement Composite Application" and certified by SAP AG through the W-CAF model, the Wipro composite application factory will expand the options available for SAP customers world-wide looking to adopt an enterprise service oriented architecture.

"Wipro will have the early advantage in addressing this next wave of IT services requirements," says Suresh Vaswani, President - Global IT Services, Wipro Technologies.

"The Wipro Composite Factory (W-CAF) model complements and brings together SAP solutions by offering industry specific solutions built on Enterprise SOA. The Wipro Composite Factory addresses niche requirements of customers in key vertical and process areas helping these businesses to become more agile. With the introduction of the W-CAF model, organizations now have a choice to retain their in-house solutions by making them Enterprise SOA -compliant with CAF - at a significantly low cost," Vaswani added.

According to Vaswani, Wipro is confident that W-CAF will be a model of significant interest to the SAP customer base world-wide as it offers significant investment benefits to the customer and ISV community by bringing together an organization's disparate application integration initiatives under one fold.
