Wipro discusses tech cooperation with UAE

AJMAN, UAE: Indian industrialist Azim Premji, chairman of Wipro, is on a visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to strengthen technological ties between the Gulf countries and India.

Premji and Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, ruler of Ajman, Tuesday discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and establish joint ventures.

Wipro is an information technology services company based in Bangalore. It is one of the largest IT companies in India and employs 108,071 people worldwide as of March 2010. It also has interests in consumer care and healthcare businesses.
