Wipro to open three centers in US

BANGALORE, INDIA: Wipro Technologies plans to open three software development and IT centers in the United States.

According to a Wipro spokesperson, the company has selected Raleigh in North Carolina, Austin in Texas and Richmond in Virginia as the locations for these facilities, which could open as early as next year.

These facilities will initially be smaller ones with 20 people each, which would be later scaled up to 100 employees.

Earlier this week, Wipro announced that it will buy the US-based outsourcing firm Infocrossing for $600 million in one of the biggest acquisitions by an Indian IT company.
