Wind River appoints new country manager

BANGALORE: Wind River Systems today announced the appointment of Venkatesh Kumaran as country manager (India).

Kumaran will be based here, the company's India headquarters, Alameda, California-based Wind River said in a press release.

A Telecom and IT professional Venkatesh has over 17 years of experience in sales, marketing, management and operations.

Prior to joining Wind River India, Venkatesh Kumaran was Regional Manager (US East and Canada) with the Tata Elxsi Ltd based out of Boston, MA.

At Tata Elxsi, Venkatesh was responsible for sales management of the company's software services across the product design life cycle targeted at vertical markets. From 1987 to 2003, he held various senior managerial positions in India and overseas in companies like Modi Olivetti Ltd, Motorola, etc.
