Win Semi, Presto ink GaAs testing deal

TAIPEI: A strategic collaboration has been announced between Taiwan-based GaAs foundry Win Semiconductors and Presto Engineering, a semiconductor product engineering company. the companies will join hands to deliver characterization and testing services for companies developing products utilizing GaAs technology from Win Semi.

The agreement includes wafer-level and packaged part development activities, right through the areas of design characterization and production testing, said an EETimes report.

At Presto Hubs, customers will be able to use high frequency test and measurement equipment, such as network analyzer, pattern generator, BERT, and also leading edge RF-ATE; Roos Instruments Cassini platform, supporting DC to 100GHz source and measure, and the Verigy 93K Port Scale RF test system.

The technical staff here can also assist with test program development, probe card design utilizing GGB and Cascade Microtech high frequency probe systems, load board development and automatic handler support. Presto also offers additional Hub services like stress testing required for engineering and product qualification, covering reliability testing for temperature, environmental and electrical stresses, as well as both physical and electrical fault isolation and failure analysis.
