Who can apply for Microsoft BizSpark?

Microsoft will provide $120,000 worth free Azure Cloud Services to start-ups through Partner Accelerators

BENGALURU, INDIA: Microsoft has announced the BizSpark Plus program for the start-up ecosystem.

To qualify for the BizSpark Plus program, start-ups must be privately held; less than 5 years old; have less than $1miilion revenue annually and be member of a select Accelerator or VC firm.

As part of the program, the company will offer $120,000 per year of free Azure Cloud services to the qualified start-ups. In addition, the start-ups will receive the full suite of development and test software and tools such as Visual Studio, Windows and Office.

This year, Microsoft is partnering with 13 start-up accelerators including 91Springboard, Reliance GenNext, Zone Start-ups and Pitney Bowes in India; globally the company is partnering with 150 accelerators in 47 countries.

Rajinish Menon, Director, Microsoft Ventures India, said, “Through the program we want to support India’s upcoming entrepreneurs and the government’s Digital India vision. We aim to help early stage companies accelerate innovation and deliver their product to customers as quickly as possible.”
