WhatsApp increases the time limit to delete unintentional sent messages

Are you fed up with the mass forwarded "Good Morning" texts you receive every morning? WhatsApp is working to fix this. The messaging app is testing Forwarded Messages, a feature that could soon allow users to mark messages that have been forwarded from another or same chat. The feature was first spotted by WABetaInfo.

WABetaInfo wrote, "Today, WhatsApp has modified the behaviour of the feature, that will show on the bubble (when the feature will be enabled in future), a 'Forwarded Message' string, if the message has been forwarded from another chat (or from the same chat)." Whenever a message is forwarded multiple times, you can notice a label on the bubble.

WABetaInfo claims that feature is seen in WhatsApp beta for Android v2.18.67 and that the feature is disabled by default. Additionally, WhatsApp has also added the possibility to forward stickers to other chats which will be available in the future.

WhatsApp recently introduced a new ‘Group Description’ feature on the Android beta and Windows version of its app. It lets users add Group description by simply tapping on the Group name. The option for adding description appears below the group picture. Non-Group admins can also add a group description.

The Facebook-owned company is also working on payments feature in India. Based on UPI (Unified Payments Interface), WhatsApp’s Payments will enable direct bank level transfers as well as peer-to-peer based transactions. Merchants, businesses are not yet supported on the feature.
