Theodolite apparently serves as a compass, GPS, map, zoom camera, rangefinder, and two-axis inclinometer, says the description on App Store. ''Theodolite lets you take geo-tagged camera images, screenshots, movies, and screen movies directly from the app, with 2X and 4X digital zoom options and fast buffered saves,'' it says. The app also claims to be functional on iOS 6.

The developers of the app claim that it is great for hiking, boating, hunting, golf, sports, sightseeing, navigation, and is used by surveyors, geologists, architects, engineers, competitive sportsmen and military personnel.

They also state that ''Theodolite works on any iPhone and newer generations of the iPod Touch. GPS and compass functionality require an iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, or iPhone 5.''

The app is priced at $3.99 on the App Store. For more information on the app, click here.
