Websense named web filtering market leader in India

NEW DELHI: Websense Inc., web security and web filtering productivity software provider, has bagged the ‘Market Leadership Award for Web Filtering Services’ 2006 award by global growth consulting firm Frost & Sullivan for India.

The consulting firm reported that Websense led the Web Filtering Market in India with a total market share of 59 per cent. It is the second consecutive year that Websense has received this award.

“Websense's investment in R&D is resulting in impacting risk mitigation for enterprises in India. This has translated into market share gains for Websense in the Indian security market,” said Alok Shende, director, Information, communication and technology practice, Frost & Sullivan.

“Websense is honored to receive this prestigious award from Frost & Sullivan. Our market leadership is a clear indication of the benchmark that we have set in the web security market. The award reflects how Websense is not content to stand still in this important and fast-growing marketplace,” said Surendra Singh, head of Southeast Asia and India, Websense.

The Frost & Sullivan Market Leadership Award for web filtering is presented each year to the company with the highest revenue and market share in its industry.
