Mumbai, India: ‘Mood Indigo' also fondly known as ‘MoodI'- the annual cultural festival of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay this year kicks-off in style.

The four-day students' festival starting today is accessible and can be viewed from anywhere over the Internet via the website - http://www.integriti.tv.

An enthusiastic group of IITians started Mood Indigo back in 1971 and since then it is held every year during December end. It attracts over 80,000 students from more than 600 colleges across India, making it one of the most popular and largest college cultural festivals in India and Asia.

The festival name Mood Indigo defines fusion of red and blue color, which symbolizes warmth, passion of an artistic adventure blend with the originality of the rational mind that represents Indigo color as a spirit of creativity and intellectualism.

During the four days of the festival, students will experience and enjoy a range of cultural experiences including competitions, workshops, debates, modeling shows, live performances of musicians, singers, disc jockeys (DJs), literally sessions by poets and writers, exhibition of artists, shows and dramas and food pavilions from various Asian countries.

This year some of the famous artists performing at Mood Indigo include world renowned Grammy winner Pandit Wishwa Mohan Bhatt, Talavya - a group of tabla players, Paradigm Shift - an Indian rock music band, French-Canadian rock band from Montreal - Simple Plan and Bollywood musician duo Salim-Sulaiman.
