In the past one week, Apple has advertised for over 10 jobs in the US relating to Siri, which include Siri integration engineer, Siri Interaction designer, Siri software engineer etc. The qualification for many jobs is a basic computer science degree.

According to Fastcompany, "One of the job posts suggests that Siri is going to expand dramatically, because Apple's looking for a "Siri Integration Engineer" who will "triage and prioritize incoming feature enhancements and functionality regressions that may arise, ensuring that the tickets are appropriately categorized."

There are hopes that Apple's speech recognition personal assistant may be getting some new features.

Another job description says the Siri Software engineering team is looking for a person, who is keen to be a part of the next big revolution in human computer interaction and contribute to a product that is redefining the smartphone.

The description for Siri interaction designer says, "The successful candidate will contribute to extending Siri's capabilities, knowledge, and intelligence, helping invent new techniques for conversational interaction, and building practices, processes, and standards that will become a foundation for design and innovation far into the future."

Siri, which lets one use voice commands to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls, and more, has had many problems in many countries. There were complaints that Siri wasn't providing accurate results on the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5.

With the new job listings, one is hopeful that Siri will be more powerful and accurate too.
