This event is part of a series being held across six cities in different countries – Sydney, Singapore, Seoul, Beijing, Mumbai and Tokyo – in October and November, said a press release. This year’s Virtualization Forum road show promises to be the largest since the event series began in the region three years ago.

Alongside each Virtualization Forum is an exclusive partner-only event – the VMware Partner Exchange conference, it added.

Virtualization Forum 2008 and Partner Exchange 2008 will showcase VMware’s market leadership and the strength of its strategic partnerships to demonstrate how virtualization can transform business to drive real bottom-line results.

Virtualization Forum and VMware Partner Exchange in India will be held in Mumbai on 6 and 7 November, respectively, at Taj Land’s End Hotel. It is expected to attract more than 1000 delegates and 300 partners. More than 15 companies will be participating in the exhibition.

“Virtualization Forum and Partner Exchange 2008 will be the first-of-its-kind, landmark event focused on the adoption of virtualization in India,” said Ganesh Mahabala, regional director, VMware- India and SAARC.

He said Virtualization Forum 2008 will highlight VMware’s leadership in the Indian business community and how VMware solutions are deployed across all sectors and sizes of industry and government.

“The event will showcase the benefits that customers and partners in India are reaping today with virtualization,” he added.

VMware claimed the event would also display how VMware technology could make a significant impact in today’s economic scenario by helping responsible businesses cut costs, complexity as well as their carbon footprint, in keeping with their commitment to Green IT.
