Vitage Technologies forays into Middle East for Managed Services

BANGALORE, INDIA: Vitage Technologies, a pioneering BSM (Business Service Management) company, has chalked out an ambitious growth plan to go global. In tune with this strategy the company has set up a 100 percent subsidiary in UAE (Sharjah International Airport Free Zone) and Ravi Kumar J, a core member of the management team, has re-located to Middle East for driving and managing its operations there. Vitage Technologies has already signed partners in UAE and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and also put in place a dedicated sales team to service that market.

Commenting on the global expansion, P Rangarajan, CEO, Vitage Technologies, said “We see huge potential in the Middle East market and have drawn a business plan to aggressively tap the exponentially growing IT industry. Many lucrative projects are coming up in the Middle East and Vitage Technologies is confident of penetrating the market with active support of local partners. With demand for the IT infrastructure and Managed Services significantly increasing in the Middle East region over the years, we expect 30 percent of our revenues from this region next year.”

According to Ravi Kumar, head, Middle East, Vitage Technologies, “The Middle East region continues to enjoy strong economic growth that has fuelled unprecedented growth of BFSI & Infrastructure sector. Strong investments in infrastructure upgrades and the emergence of the region as the data processing hub have added to the buoyancy. We have forayed into the Middle East market at the right time and it is a great opportunity for us to invest and benefit from the growth.”

 “There is a great demand for skilled resources to implement & manage the IT infrastructure and Vitage Technologies is well poised to fill the vacuum with our end-to-end offerings in the Infrastructure & Application management Solutions. By signing up two clients in UAE and one in KSA, we have established a decent visibility in the region, he said.” Further, he added “A recent research by IDC has valued the IT services market in the UAE alone at $507.81 million in 2006 and the market is expected to grow to $964 million by 2011.”
