VisualSoft commits itself on e-business R&D

HYDERABAD: VisualSoft Technologies, a Hyderabad based company is planning to

increase its research and development focus on e-business infrastructure

solutions. The company is increasing its focus on technologies like XML, process

integration, knowledge management and automation and business intelligence

solutions.

In keeping with its plans to provide required focus for the R&D activity,

the company has formed exclusive technology excellence groups within the

company. "The technology excellence groups will study advance technology

and trends to provide organizational direction and evolve rapid technology

adoption techniques for products and projects," said VisualSoft chairman

and managing director D V S Raju.

The groups will focus on various technologies including those of Microsoft,

Sun , Oracle, Linux and of other companies like BEA and Borland, he added.

VisualSoft in its bid to catch on with the latest technology trends, is also

gearing up for the development activity in mobile space. In addition to

mobilizing its own portfolio of enterprise products, VisualSoft is developing

professional wireless development environment specifically designed for unique

requirements of mobile applications. It is into developing versatile solutions

to seamlessly integrate wireless technologies such as WML and XSL and come out

with applications and products based on them.

As part of its focus on mobile technologies the company is also developing

mission critical applications that cater to the mobilizing business applications

or data enabling it to be viewed on any mobile device.

According to the AGM report of the company, it is also moving towards the

embedded systems arena. It has initiated a focus group on software development

for embedded systems as part of its excellence group. "VisualSoft has

secured a long term R&D outsourcing contraction the field of consumer

electronics based embedded software development," Raju explained.

As part of its R&D e-business environment, the company has already

developed products like WebProject, VisualSales, eoffice and VisualMart. While

WebProject is a web based enterprise management solution, VisualSales is a sales

force automation tool that helps business collect maintain and analyze customer

information to enable continuous service during sales process.
