Video2b Amit Mendelsohn co-founder and CTO, stated that video communication

was expected to be the leading communication method and predicted that it would

be the next big thing. He believed that in this era where broad band is

penetrating the markets, Video communication continue to be more attractive then

ever.

According to him, video communication was not limited to high profile rich

companies but could be applied to medium to small businesses as well. "That

is why we have entered into the technological alliance with vIT to provide the

technology to SMEs too" added Mendelsohn.

hurdles exist but hoped that the market would flourish in next few years.

According to Balani the estimated market for the video communication/solutions

is roughly Rs 50 crore.

Initially the focus of the JV would be to offer services and make people

aware of the concept rather than generating revenues. In this direction JV plans

to offer their video solutions to the traffic in Mumbai. Talks are going on with

the Mumbai traffic police to offer them a surveillance solution for the cross

roads in the city. Similarly, the JV would look forward to meet the requirement

of different institutions about the E-learning system.

Balani said that JV the will tap European and Middle East market in few

years.
