Virgin Mobile gets Net4Nuts email backbone

MUMBAI, INDIA: Net4Nuts Limited, the mobile value added service (MVAS) provider has tied up with Virgin Mobile to deploy its mobile email service- "vMail."

This mobile email service will be available on Virgin Mobile's mobile portal (WAP) - "Vbytes". Using this service, Virgin Mobile subscribers can access e-mails on various browser-enabled cell phones models such as vKewl and vSleek at low cost of Rs 5 per day.

These Virgin Mobile branded handsets have the one-touch access button feature that directly help to access Vbytes data portal for various value added services (VAS).

"We as a company develop all kinds of mobile applications and specialize in MVAS. For Virgin Mobile, we have developed a customized application that is very simple and doesn't need any kind of additional software downloads or handset configurations to access this email service," Chirag Patel, Net4Nuts' CEO told CyberMedia News.

"Our application has been integrated with Virgin's mobile WAP site that makes it very easy for the end user access."

 Further Patel added, "Virgin Mobile is a highly focused mobile operator with its target audience, which are youths and young generation. Hence, the company was looking for application, which is fast and easy, keeping in mind the youths who are always on move."

According to Deval Parikh, chief officer, Handsets, VAS and Procurement, Virgin Mobile, youth of today are highly techno-savvy and like to be in constant touch with the latest updates available on their mobile phones.

"vMail is one such unique service that allows Virgin Mobile users to access their emails anytime, anywhere using their existing WAP enabled phones. What's more, this service is available for free since the user just pays a nominal daily access fee of Rs. 5 for accessing the Vbytes data portal, " said Parikh.

Ahmedabad-based Net4Nuts has indigenously developed and customized this mobile email service application for Virgin Mobile. The application has many key features including the read, compose, reply, forward emails, attachment accessibility, management of multiple mail boxes, along the signature and address book feat.

About Net4Nuts' future business plans, Patel informed that company would be more focusing on services and mobile emails applications.
