BANGALORE: VeriFone, a division of Hewlett-Packard Company, has introduced the VeriFone
Developer Forum, a worldwide program established to speed the design,
development and deployment of applications for VeriFone’s secure
multi-application POS payment terminals.
The forum will facilitate the sharing of payment and non-payment applications
between developers and acquirers, resulting in faster time to market and
increased merchant retention.
"VeriFone’s goal is to provide a flexible alternative for the
development of applications so that the multi-application market grows. And
processors can take advantage of the latest application designs and provide
their customers with applications that add value to the merchant
counterpart," said VeriFone director of product marketing Stuart Taylor.
The Developer Forum is VeriFone’s first open global exchange of solutions
in the payment industry, enabling programmers to develop and market high quality
applications for VeriFone products in a secure community. The forum will provide
online access to tools and software, documentation, tips and technical support.
