Veraz opens India subsidiary

NEW DELHI: Veraz Networks, a provider of carrier-grade, next-generation VoIP solutions, announced the appointment of Yogesh S Bijlani as its country manager, Indian subcontinent to lead the opening of its Veraz Networks Pvt Ltd office in New Delhi.

Prior to joining Veraz Networks, Bijlani was the VP - sales and marketing (Indian subcontinent) at UTStarcom Inc.



With Veraz deployments in India growing, Veraz has expanded its local presence with the New Delhi location for India sales, marketing, and support of local partners, while its Pune location will continue to focus on R&D and customer support.

Veraz is one of the few next-generation network vendors to receive certification from the Indian government's Telecommunication Engineering Center (TEC) for its highly scaleable softswitch and media gateway solution, states a press release.



"Veraz is addressing the increasing demand from service providers and carriers in India for next generation and multimedia solutions, with further commitment to the region," said executive VP of global marketing at Veraz Amit Chawla. "With our strong customer base in India, we recognize the importance of expanding our presence and employing a seasoned professional with local experience for our new location," he added.
