After organizing COMP-EX 2009 in January this year Vidarbha Computer and Media Dealers’ Welfare Association (VCMDWA) Nagpur is gearing up to hold its second expo for the year and has christened the event Summer COMP-EX.

The idea to hold a second expo was born seeing the rate at which new technologies are evolved and new products are launched and keeping in mind the time gap of one year between two IT exhibitions.

A Booking Meet was organized on April 29 for which the association claims they received an excellent response from its members. Summer COMP-EX 2009 will be held between June 12-15, 2009 at Ladies Club Lawns, Civil Lines in Nagpur.

COMP-EX is a showcase of new products and technological innovations in the field of IT, telecommunications and office automation, coupled with schemes and offers.

In all, 57 stalls of various sizes will be erected in two separate air-cooled domes, along with a help desk and cafeteria.

One of the major attractions of Summer COMP-EX is the presence of eminent training and educational institutions and colleges, especially from the engineering and management disciplines. A prize money of Rs 1 lakh will be given for the best stalls, as was declared earlier in the last Summer COMP-EX 2008 too. A limited number of stalls are still available, which will be allotted strictly on first come first served basis.

The event will be publicized by means of outdoor hoardings, advertisements in newspaper, TV, radio channels, etc for the home users. Further, direct mailers and invitations will be sent to prospective buyers from corporates, small and medium business houses, central and state government establishments, PSUs, MNCs, BPOs and software services companies.

Present at the meet were Prashant Ugemuge, President, VCMDWA; Hitesh Parekh, VP, VCMDWA and Virendra Patrikar, Secretary, VCMDWA.
