UST Global gets the 2014 National Quality Excellence Award

MUMBAI, INDIA: UST Global has been conferred with the National Quality Excellence Award for Planning, Processes and Systems at the 'World Quality Congress Awards' held in Mumbai recently.

UST Global is the recipient of the award in recognition of successfully setting up a Testing Centre of Excellence (TCoE) in North America that brought together various applications and technologies with different complexities.

Babu Ramanathan, head (Corporate Quality) at UST Global attributed the achievement to the fact, that the winning solution is a scalable framework that addresses the common problem faced by most growing IT organizations, which is showing continuous quality improvement and attaining high quality outputs very fast- when dealing with new, diverse and dispersed teams.

He said, "We are extremely delighted to have received this appreciation and it is a success shared by the organization as a whole. The project concerned deals with complexity reduction that will help to deliver better internal process efficiency, and in turn achieve better productivity. Through a series of team and center level initiatives, we were able to improve time to market resulting in positive impact on customer business."

The work done at the nearshore center in Mexico now serves as a model for other global centers as well. The 'World Quality Congress Awards' lauds projects that focus on the development and improvement of processes and systems leading to increased efficiency and effectiveness. UST Global competed against several companies representing not just the IT industry but technology and manufacturing sectors as well.

The winners across the various other categories included names like Infosys, Volvo, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and Sahara to name a few.
