Integration and installation is scheduled to begin in early 2010. This will be followed by a series of flight tests and subsequent installation of the EIDS on the balance of the aircraft.

Innovative Solutions & Supports’ (IS&S) first EIDS implementation occurred in 2005, and since then has been installed on various C-130 aircraft operated by international customers in New Zealand, Canada, the Netherlands, and Pakistan. In 2007, IS&S’ EIDS was installed by BAE Systems on the United States Coast Guard HC-130H aircraft, and is currently being implemented throughout the entire fleet.

“EIDS provides the most cost effective solution for C-130 owners and operators facing ongoing maintenance issues with the engine gauges on their aircraft or the prospect of existing equipment becoming obsolete,” said Farhad Daghigh, Vice President of Military Business Development for IS&S. “The inherent growth capability of EIDS into a complete C-130 Cockpit/IP Flat Panel Display System is unique and highly desired by operators who have a limited annual operating budget.

The company designs, manufactures and markets flight information computers, electronic displays and advanced monitoring systems that measure and display critical flight information. This includes data relative to aircraft separation (RVSM), airspeed and altitude, as well as engine and fuel data measurements.
