Unitech Wireless joins hands with Wipro

BANGALORE, INDIA: Unitech Wireless, a telecom services player in which Norwegian telecom group Telenor holds 67 percent stake, announced that has entered into a nine-year outsourcing deal with Wipro Infotech, a unit of Wipro Ltd.

Wipro will deploy component based service delivery platform (SDP) for Unitech Wireless to deliver wide range of services including multi channel access, real time information delivery, multimedia content and VAS. It is expected that the Wipro’s-Unitech Wireless partnership will transform the way in which the telecom industry operates, and create new benchmarks for business-technology alignment.

Unitech Wireless, with licences to operate in all 22 circles across India, is launching telecommunication services to provide advanced wireless voice, data and ILD/, NLD services. Its partnership with Wipro will enable uniqueness and provide non-linear, scaleable growth, while delivering the highest levels of customer service to their subscribers.
