Uniden SIP DECT provides easy-to-use mobility platform to business

IRVING, USA: Uniden America Corporation has developed a SIP DECT cordless business telephone system that targets the SMB, enterprise and retail markets. The EXP1240 SIP DECT wireless system provides a cost-effective solution for VoIP mobility, and it offers business users the convenience and versatility of mobile communication by utilizing DECT wireless technology over an IP network (LAN).

The EXP1240 SIP DECT system delivers a wireless SIP DECT solution that is ideal for small- and medium-size enterprise installations.

"The EXP1240 phones provide users with a user-friendly tool to help maintain and grow their businesses," said Brett Morrison, VP of sales and marketing for Uniden's Business Communication Systems. "This IP-based wireless system retains the service level Uniden customers expect in our products by providing near-perfect voice quality, seamless hand over between DECT Access Points and a secure air interface."

The EXP1240 SIP DECT mobility platform supports seamless roaming and hand-off on up to 40 DECT Access points with zero interference from other wireless networks. A single access point can support as many as eight cordless handsets and the system can support up to 200 cordless handsets on a single network segment.

The color handsets support up to four lines and feature multiple codecs, over the air synchronization, a wide band two-way speakerphone and an integrated site survey tool for simple wireless setup.
