UK agrees 810 mn pound deal extension with BT

LONDON, UK: Britain's Ministry of Defence said on Wednesday it has agreed an 810 million pound ($1.25 billion) contract extension with BT Group to provide secure telecommunications services.

The public-private partnership contract with BT, due to expire in July 2012, has been extended until 2015 under existing contractual provisions, Defence Equipment Minister Peter Luff said in a statement to parliament.
