Twitter has announced a pact with Bloomberg Media to live stream three shows and the cabler’s markets coverage on the platform. Under the deal, Twitter will stream “Bloomberg West,” “What’d You Miss?,” “With All Due Respect” and the network’s markets coverage. The companies will split ad revenue generated from the programming.

The deal with Bloomberg comes on the heels of Twitter’s deal with CBS News to live-stream coverage of the Republican and Democratic national conventions this month. Twitter also nabbed rights to stream 10 live games on the NFL’s “Thursday Night Football” slate this fall in a $10 million deal. The company has already sold over 60 percent of its NFL inventory to marketers.

Last week, Twitter also launched what it called an “incomplete” test of live sports on the service with Wimbledon, although the feed didn’t include any actual live matches.

“Partnering with Bloomberg will give people on Twitter the best way to see live financial markets performance combined with the live commentary on the underlying drivers and implications,” said Twitter CFO Anthony Noto.

Twitter is aggressively ramping up its digital video efforts as user growth has stalled at about 310 million monthly active users. Jack Dorsey has been striving to sharpen the company's strategic plan and restore momentum to user growth.
