U2opia Mobile has a similar tie up with Facebook. Reportedly, users will need to feed a particular code to get a feed of popular trending topics on Twitter.

U2opia uses a protocol known as unstructured supplementary service data (USSD), which does not allow viewing pictures, videos or graphics. Considering Twitter is a text based service more so than Facebook, U2opia's service should be a perfect fit.

Additionally, U2opia is present in 30 countries and delivers its service in seven languages, it will have the ability to localize content.

U2opia's co-founder and CEO, Sumesh Menon, said that eight out of 10 people in emerging markets are still not using the Internet. Using their protocol many users will be able to experience Twitter for the first time in emerging markets.
