A young Bangalorean girl from Acharya Institute, Yelahanka, lost her wallet while commuting which definitely would have let her in a panic as it had a much hefty amount.
Siddharth Govindan, co-incidentally found the wallet and tweeted about it, intending to locate the girl which was followed by a number of tweets from various locations of the city.
Out of the many, one was tweeted to the Commissioner of Police of Bangalore, M.N Reddy who took the effort of tweeting it to his department.
The police department readily started the hunt and located the girl. Followed with instant responsiveness and efficiency through social media, the girl finally found her lost wallet.
The tech bent gestures from Siddharth Govindan, M.N Reddy and also the Police Department is appreciable and shows how simple moves can make a difference in both small and big ways.
This again proves, social media is not just all about chatting and Likes but how to a large extent genuine citizen problems can easily be resolved with instant help and accelerate good governance.
