Tvara aims hospitality, automotive sectors

BANGALORE, INDIA: Tvara Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd, a start-up established in early 2009, today announced the launch of their infotainment solution targeted towards the hospitality and automotive industry in India.

The platform, which can be deployed at restaurant tabletops, hotel rooms, cabs and fleet vehicle, enables the delivery of value added services such as playing music and videos, Internet browsing, as well as running customized applications for the respective sector. For example, the device runs a menu automation software for the hospitality sector, wherein the customers could order food as well avail recommendations.

The device also enables online bookings and payments for movies, restaurants through an integrated payment gateway. With 8.9 inches touch screen display, the solution is capable of running GPRS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

In addition to the interactive device, the solution will have hosted and managed services that channel content (interactive, location and demographics-based advertisements, cross-selling communication and third party content), dynamically into each of the devices. The content framework accommodates integration of third party services accessible by the customer, enabling booking of movie & airline tickets, shopping and more.

“ The solution would not only enhance customer experience, but also help increase revenue and simplify operations. We position the solution as an investment that can enable significant return on investment, and not as a discretionary expense,” said Shyam Shetty, CEO, Tvara Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

The device is piloted in India and would be priced at Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000. The company plans to sell around Rs 10,000 units within one year.
