BANGALORE: Trianz, a company incorporated in the US, which has around 500 employees here, is banking on its mix of its strong consulting background and product engineering practice to spur its growth.

The five-year-old company was started by a group of management consultants led by Sri Manchala, which expanded its offerings to include enterprise application services, product engineering and some high-end knowledge process outsourcing.

“We look at business operations that impact performance and profitability. In the technology space, we help enterprise CIOs with management of information systems and product engineering,” said Sri Manchala, president and CEO, Trianz. Some of Trianz’s clients include Cisco Systems, Fujitsu, HP, Mitsubishi and Toshiba.

Manchala said that the company’s market differentiation from IT services vendors lay in its value proposition. “We don’t believe in low cost but value. We have a value-oriented positioning. We want to improve their performance and have a long term relationship with customers.”

He likens the company’s positioning to that of a high-end Lexus car hybrid. “Our expertise in consulting is our biggest advantage. We look at business execution and results. Our value proposition is in terms of meeting the management objectives of our customers.”

While bidding for consulting deals the company usually competes with the likes of Delloitte Consulting, CapGemini and the top global five IT services companies.

Trianz clocked revenues of Rs 125 crore last year and is targeting the Rs 200 crore mark this fiscal. The company is now planning to ramp up its capacity as well as the scope of its work. It plans to increase headcount from the current 500 to 1000 by March-April 2007 and then to 2500 the following year.

The company was completely self-funded and Manchala said that he is not looking for any venture funding to fuel Trianz’s expansion plan. The company also intends to expand its offices in various locations in the US.
