The overarching theme of the 2009 APAC Security Challenge Tour is, 'Changing the Way we Think About Security in an Expanding Universe of Threats'. In India the tour will begin in the first week of May 2009 and will cover Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Pune.

“With the Asian threat landscape commercializing, many IT security vendors are beginning to look for more comprehensive solutions, becoming aware of cloud computing and SaaS, especially in those Asian markets offering effective SMB solutions. The Security Challenge Tour will help our channel partners to understand why companies need to rethink their overall security strategy with new enterprise products, SaaS offerings, and information on how the Trend Micro Smart Protection Network powers these solutions to provide immediate protection with less complexity,” said Amit Nath, Country Manager—India and SAARC, Trend Micro.

He further added, “Enterprises need proactive security solutions that are able to immediately detect new and emerging Web-based threats without overburdening their endpoints. The cloud-client infrastructure behind File Reputation means fewer updates to the client, with a more predictable impact on endpoint resources.”
