Being transparent does not mean you act dumb. The move only reflects recklessness. The debate that has been going on over Net Neutrality for weeks witnessed a great response from netizens and for all the right reasons and although all opinions are valuable, hiding the email ids and names was critical to protect privacy. This fundamental step was least expected from TRAI. Masking the email IDs or any other protection trick was all that was required.

"TRAI-Website does not automatically capture any specific personal information from you, (like name, phone number or e-mail address), that allows us to identify you individually"- The website has violated its own privacy policy.

TRAI has divided the comments into three sections- comments from the Service Providers, comments from the Service Providers’ Association, and comments from other stakeholders (which includes individuals, tech start-ups, etc.). However, the website is currently inaccessible.

TRAI, all you have done is just consumed more time of the opinionated netizens to clear their spams and have made them the bait for email marketers and spammers.
