SUNNYVALE, USA: Novixys Software, Inc. has announced the release of Swift XML Converter 1.2, a powerful Windows application for converting XML to tabular data formats including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, CSV and Text.

Swift XML Converter processes the XML in an intuitive manner and uses the XML structure to build table relationships and identify columns automatically.

Powerful query facilities are included for extracting just the data you need. Unlike competing products, Swift XML Converter does not require knowledge of XPath or XSLT to query or extract the data.

Load a single XML file or load hundreds of XML files in one go. Swift XML Converter uses a smart merge technology to merge the data using XPath to figure out the correct merge sequence. Once the data has been merged and loaded, you can query the data to extract the information you need.

Especially useful in data integration tasks, Swift XML Converter includes a one-click "Flatten" functionality which effectively converts the hierarchical structure of the XML to a flat (or grid) view. This data view can then be exported to any supported output format including CSV (comma-separated values).

Swift XML Converter can directly import XML from web or FTP sources without having to go through a separate download step. Another convenience offered by Swift is the ability to import XML from within zip archives, again without having to unzip the archive for processing.

Swift XML Converter 1.2 runs under Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003 and Windows Vista.
