NEW DELHI: Telsima
Corporation, a developer of WiMAX based Broadband Wireless
Access solutions, unveiled its portfolio of WiMAX base stations, subscriber
stations, Network Management Software, Provisioning Manager and RF planning tool
at the WiMAX World Europe 2006 event at Vienna.
It also rolled out its strategy for providing portability/limited mobility
with WiMAX and a smooth migration to 802.16-2005.
Telsima basic mobility is compatible with the WiMAX OFDM (IEEE 802.16-2004 or
'-d') and the WiMAX OFDMA (IEEE 802.16-2005 or '-e') standards and
offers a seamless migration experience, the company said in a statement.
It is expected that WiMAX OFDMA will be used in 'stationary networks'
till WiMAX defined mobility features become available.
“The Telsima StarMAX line is one of the first broadband wireless systems in
the world to be designed from the ground up around the new WiMAX standard. The
StarMAX systems combine a System-on-a-Chip (SoC) based solution with world class
in-house RF design and patent-pending BWA technologies to deliver the most
optimal combination of coverage, spectral efficiency, performance, reliability
and cost”, said Dr. Bojan Bostjancic, president of Telsima.
