Tejas opens R&D centre in Noida

BANGALORE, INDIA: Tejas Networks, an enabler of high-performance optical transmission infrastructure, announced its opening of a new R&D centre in Noida.

This is the first R&D centre of Tejas in North India. This office will augment its existing sales & support office in Delhi.

T K Wali, executive director telecom, Power Grid Corporation India Ltd. (PGCIL), who imaugurated the centre, said: "We have been working with Tejas Networks for over three years, during which Power grid’s network as well as telecom business has grown significantly."

Sanjay Nayak, CEO and Managing Director, Tejas Networks, said: “So far we have been making significant investments in our Bangalore R&D center. We have now also decided to reach out to the outstanding engineering talent in North India, who are keen to do innovative work in end-to-end product development companies. Since we also have a very large customer base in North India, this centre will also facilitate closer interaction and higher level of support to our customers."

The Noida R&D centre will be lead by Pushkal Juneja, group director engineering, a seasoned industry professional with over 18 years of experience in India and abroad, in companies such as Intel and Cadence. He joined Tejas from Intel, where he managed teams working on design and validation of various chipsets.
