Technology solution to facilitate effectiveness in campus administration

BANGALORE, INDIA: Hewlett-Packard India (HP) in collaboration with Dimensions Innovation Labs (Dimensions), education technology solutions provider have announced the launch of 'Campus management solution'- to facilitate effectiveness & efficiency in campus administration. Through this partnership Dimensions and HP will jointly bring top end technology solutions to educational institutions in India.

Campus Dimensions – the flagship product of Dimensions is a integrated campus management solution with special features including central database, Smart ID cards aimed to optimize resources in campus administration.

Dimensions estimate that with 2500 professional education colleges & 300 universities, India offers a huge potential for campus integration solutions. The company estimates the market size for the year 2007-2010 for campus ERP, as Rs.4000 crores and underlying hardware as Rs.7000 crores. Currently, only 5 per cent of the institutes in India have an ERP system in place.

The new solution will provide campus wide integrated information systems covering all functional areas and automate core managerial activities including admissions, academics, examinations, fees, placements, alumni, finance, purchase thus augmenting the institute's brand image at the same time improving bottom and top line profitability. Packed with over 22 such modules the solution ensures integration of administrative functions and better co-ordination between departments.

The solution provides a flexible framework to accommodate diversity in the layouts and practices in different academic institutions.
