With 'Cross culture and Multi culture' being the current trend, it is no surprise that we find IT companies going all out to make religious occasion a time for fun and festivities.

Diwali, Christmas, Onam, Id, Independence Day, all bring with them a lot of excitement and fun across the IT organizations - irrespective of religion, ethnicity or background. The whole idea of these events is for everyone to have fun and in the process learn to appreciate varied backgrounds and cultures.

The response while organizing such events is always overwhelming. These events are a meeting place for everyone to be creative. This is usually seen from Ethnic wear to decorating the Office and from the food served to the music and dance.

Everyone participates enthusiastically in the celebrations. There are committees formed for these celebrations to bring the entire organization together. These committees have employees who are from different communities and social backgrounds, which is never evident since all get together like a family and put their best foot forward to make the occasion a success.

There is an unspoken bond that develops amongst employees during such occasions, which helps them in understanding in furthering relationships not just on the professional front but on the personal level too.

It is a sheer treat to see techies, who only look at codes day in and day out, let their hair down and shake a leg, decorate the office, dress themselves as Santa Claus and go around distributing surprise gifts across the office.

Organisational culture plays a key role in encouraging and adding flavor to the festivities. SupportSoft's open and transparent culture gives a lot of opportunity to celebrate various festivals and events. We believe that these festivals provide an opportunity and a sense of belonging amongst the employees.
