The Netherlands' largest bank on Thursday said it had signed a 1.8 billion euro ($2.2 billion) IT outsourcing deal with five companies including TCS, rival Infosys Technologies and Patni Computer Systems.

The contract includes providing application support and enhancement across the bank, as well as the right to bid for applications development projects, a statement from TCS said.

"It is the biggest IT services deal won by an Indian company ever," TCS said.

TCS will manage a major part of ABN AMRO's application support and enhancement services for its operations in the Netherlands and Brazil, as well as its private client business globally, TCS said.
