MUMBAI: Tata
Consultancy Service (TCS) announced yesterday that it has bagged a $33
million project from the Saudi Telecom.
The deal is spread across a period of 18 months. TCS will integrate end-to-end
billing and customer relationship management (CRM) packages for the wireline
subscribers of Saudi Telecom.
S.
Ramadorai, CEO & MD, TCS, signed the deal yesterday.
He informed that TCS will be integrating Geneva billing package and Siebel CRM
package for the company. “It is a major win for the company as it increases
our footprint in the region,” he added.
A couple of years back TCS had bagged another multi-million dollar contract from
the Saudi Arabian government's General Organization of Social Insurance to
develop a software system, covering social insurance, management and investment
services.
This is the second major win for the company in the region. Saudi Telecom is the
new client for the company, said S.
Mahalingam, CFO, TCS. He also hinted that TCS could mine Saudi Telecom for
more contracts in the future.
