Tata Tele partners with Novatium

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Dual technology service provider Tata Teleservices Limited today announced the launch of Nova Navigator, powered by Novatium, for its Photon Pro and Photon Plus community in India.

This is for the first time that a cloud computing can now be accessible on mobile broadband device, said a press release. By partnering with Novatium Solutions Private Limited, Tata Teleservices expects to get a unique opportunity to expand the high-speed broadband market in India through Nova Navigator.

The services include comprehensive computing experience with special emphasis on Internet, gaming, digital entertainment, online education, telephony and business productivity, the release added.

According to Tata Tele, Nova Navigator is an ‘obsolescence-proof computing service’, with all manageability carried out centrally through the server, where the subscriber would automatically get ‘on air’ upgrades totally free of cost from anywhere across the world. It also has enhanced features such as 3G support.

Nova Navigator is a ‘zero maintenance’ access device and is easy to plug and play, the release added.

“Cloud computing is changing the rules of the game by offering virtual Internet and data access and coupled with Tata Photon Plus, a mobile broadband service, it is sure to be a double benefit for the consumers,” said Lloyd Mathias, chief marketing officer, Tata Teleservices.

He said this service, which is said to be the first in the industry, would be extremely useful, convenient and affordable to the Tata Photon Plus wireless broadband and Tata Photon Pro fixed line broadband user base.

Observing that India is on the verge of witnessing a computing revolution, Alok Singh, CEO, Novatium Solutions, said, “Nova Navigator coupled with Tata Photon has the potential to revolutionize the entire computing market. We are getting encouraging responses from subscribers and expect tremendous growth in the current fiscal.”

He said the vision of Novatium is to provide simple and affordable computing for the next billion.
