Tata Docomo expands 3G footprint in Karnataka

BANGALORE,INDIA:Tata Docomo, the unified brand of Tata Teleservices, today announced their 3G network and retail expansion plans for Karnataka region.

The company is planning to enhance the 3G network coverage and presence in the region by adding an additional 1000 cell sites, to increase its network footprints to over 3100 cell sites by July 31st 2014.

The 3G network coverage will be extended to total of 53 towns across Karnataka, covering all major cities/towns namely Bagalkot, Shimoga, Bellary, Tumkur, Chikmaglur, Bhadravati, Chikballapur, Chitradurga, Davangere, Raichur, Gagag, Gokak, Kolar, Mandya, Gangavathi, Gadag, Sira, Madikeri, Koppal, Yadagir, Hassan to the already existing 10 major towns namely Bangalore, Mysore, Mangalore, Manipal, Udupi, Hubli, Belgaum, Dharwad, Hospet and Gulburga in Karnataka. Additionally, Tata Docomo has made significant investments in the expansion of its retail footprint.

With the strength of over 50,000 retail outlets in the region, the brand has garnered immense trust and popularity amongst its customers in Karnataka. Tata Docomo also has 84 technologically advanced brand retail stores across key towns in Karnataka. The overall expansion will further strengthen Tata Docomo's position to ensure that its rapidly growing customer base enjoys seamless and superior voice & 3G data services; even while in the hinterland and on roaming.

Tata Docomo has also launched slew of attractive and innovative 3G data plans for prepay GMS customers in Karnataka. The ‘Power' 3G recharge priced at Rs. 155 offers 1 GB of 3G data with validity of 30 days. Also available are exciting Talk Time + data plans starting from Rs 125 onwards.
